We regularly host Career Days which are targeted at youth from disadvantaged communities. It is at these events where many students have the opportunity to receive information that helps them to make effective career and life decisions. In many instances, the students who have attended Career Days have been fortunate to enjoy direct access to application for bursaries, scholarships and post-graduate employment.
Limit Breakers partners with local businesses and industry professionals, who engage with the students and share the value that continuous learning and social participation offer them in their chosen careers. Students also take part in facilitated dialogue sessions where they engage with the invited speakers.
To date, speakers who have participated at Career Days include public service providers such as KwaZulu-Natal Maritime, Massachusetts Maritime Academy from the USA and KwaZulu Natal Tourism.
At each of these platforms, the focus of the message is centred around how youth can begin to use their God given talents to create social advancement within their communities.
